MAXIMIZE MUSCLE GROWTH BY USING THE POST WORKOUT ANABOLIC WINDOW
MUSCLE GROWTH DOESN’T COME EASY BUT YOU CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR POST WORKOUT NUTRITION AND MAXIMIZE YOUR RESULTS.
A common question I get asked, as I am sure most every other bodybuilder, power lifter, pro athlete and overall big/fit guy gets asked….what do you eat/take? And of course everyone hopes it’s some secret magic pill that is on the DL that just makes everything easy and you automatically get the muscle growth and body you want in no time with minimal work and effort. Well sorry, but if that existed then gyms would not. However there is a very important time to feed your body that does enable the most muscle growth, and a period I’m a big believer in. It’s called, the anabolic Window.
Post work out, after your muscles have been destroyed from your onslaught in the gym, you have 30 minutes(Anabolic Window) to shuttle your muscles with protein to rebuild and recover, which turns into newly added size and strength. Otherwise, if you wait outside that, your muscles start to break down themselves to recover which you are now tearing away muscle to build muscle….doesn’t sound very productive. This is why I bring my post workout shake with me to the gym and drink it immediately after my workout. Stackable Storage makes this possible. I’ve included a link on the left for convenience.
Otherwise you might forget, or get caught up on cardio, or running into someone, or traffic, or any number of possible time consumers that may make you miss your window of time that is the anabolic window, the key to recovery and growth. Another important post workout supplement, and one of my personal favorites to help with the anabolic window, is Karbolyn. Karbolyin is a broken down pure form of carbohydrates that contain no sugar but spike your insulin immediately post workout to help shuttle your supplements (creatine, glutamine, BCAA’s, etc.) and protein into your muscles faster and more efficiently.
You want to drink Karbolyn right away (before your protein) to spike your insulin and get a nice pump from the carb load. Then wait ten minutes and drink your protein shake and the insulin spike caused from the Karbolyn will shuttle the protein into your muscles faster and make them feel fuller and harder. Definitely a plus and highly recommended to anyone looking to grow. Your anabolic window is no joke, and is called such because when done right and consistently it can create anabolic-like gains. But you can’t flex fat, so go out and lift!
