
Gabe’s back on keto and crushing shoulders in this behind the scenes (BTS) episode
After 6 months of bulking, Gabe’s back on keto and getting ready for a top secret photo shoot in December. This time though, he’s using “targeted keto” where he’s ingesting carbs pre-workout and post workout. This has been shown to enhance the actual workouts and, when done properly, only knock you out of ketosis for a very short period of time around your workout.
The shoulder workout that Gabe discusses in this episode is a rough one. It’s a high volume shoulder workout that includes both lower reps and heavy weight as well as higher reps with moderate weight. The goal is to flood the muscle cells with blood for the best pump AND also mix in some heavier weight to shock the muscles into growth.
