This is a very simple technique for motivation that anyone can use.
To find your true motivation, your “why,” you simply need to ask yourself why are you doing what you are doing. Then, go beyond the surface. Typically we get answers like, “I want to lose 10lbs.” Then ask yourself why you want to lose 10lbs. Whatever the answer is, ask yourself, “Why” again. Keep doing this until you’ve gotten down to the heart of the matter. You’ll usually be thrown back to memories of your childhood, or something specific that happened to you in your recent past that triggered your need to create this goal in the first place. When you find that deep, emotional attachment to the reason you started your journey – THAT’S YOUR WHY.
Take that and write it down!
Plaster it everywhere. Print it out and put it on your refrigerator, on your door leading to your garage, on the mirror in your bathroom, get it on the lock screen on your phone – whatever it takes to ensure you see it daily and it’s always at the front of your mind!
