Gym etiquette – please don’t be that guy

rules of gym etiquette

When you’re working out there is an unwritten gym etiquette. Please, please don’t be “that guy”…unwritten rules of gym etiquette

When I say don’t be “that guy,” this time I’m speaking about being one of those guys that has no gym etiquette and decides to shadow box or do mixed martial arts in the mirror as I’m weight training.

Being my size or, Gabe’s, Brian’s or JTG’s size is NOT easy.  Looking the way we do can be intimidating to some people but when we’re in the gym we’re there with one purpose and that is to workout.  This is a part of our job, our bodies pay our bills!  We can’t, for the most part, care less about your training or the way you look.  We’re in there to take care of our business.

Sadly, some guys assume that most people that are in shape or muscular are some sort of a threat.  It is extremely distracting when preparing for a set and “that guy” stands there and begins to box, or throw punches, elbows, knees and kicks.

If you would like to do any of these things there are gyms designated for you, but if you’re in a REGULAR gym, you’re there to be the best you that you can be.  You’re there to change your physique!  If you’re confused or simply need some guidance, I’d recommend finding a good workout plan. Gabe Tuft, my good friend and fellow Body Spartan, wrote the amazing “Body Spartan: Genesis” book that you can use to develop a training regimen that will change your life forever!

I have three staple supplements that I use daily:

And depending on where I am in my training I will add Kre-alkalyn into the mix. You can grab that from our site here: Kre-Alkalyn.

Remember, train hard and please don’t be “that guy”!
