Gabe talks about the Double-slit Light Experiment that’s been reproduced on numerous occasions. Basically, light is shined through a board with two rectangular slits cut out, side by side. The light will pass through these slights and two things will happen. Either there will be no interference with the light waves, or the light waves will collide with one another and create interference. This a quantifiable, measurable outcome that can’t be denied. The probability of one result or the other, without any outside forces acting on the experiment, is 50%.
Now, scientist ask a group of observers to focus on one outcome or another. In every experiment, when the observers focused their thoughts on one particular outcome, the results showed a statistically undeniable measurement that the observers had an effect on the outcome. In other words, if the observers were told to focus on the results of the experiment being interference, then the actual results showed more interference, beyond coincidence.
